Kopi Lokal – Pondok Indah Mall, Jakarta

Please welcome Kopi Lokal, the latest Indonesian restaurant & coffee shop in Jakarta area!

Located in Pondok Indah Mall 1, Kopi Lokal offers quite spacious dining place. They also have this counter that displays Indonesian traditional snacks! The staffs also brew coffee and make the traditional Es Campur here too. It was very interesting to watch them~

The ambiance was comfortable. I saw lots of people spends their time here, chatting while sipping coffee.

Of course, I came here with hungry tummy. My friends and I tasted several snacks and main courses. We planned to had some desserts also, but we were too full. Hahaha.

Peyeum Goreng Keju Susu

Peyeum is a fermented form of cassava. It’s originated from Sunda. The texture was soft, and the taste was sweet. It was beyond my expectation that they gave some chocolate sprinkles on the top.

Tahu Kipas Goreng

Fried tofu stuffed with vegetables. Absolutely love how tasty it was! This snack is my favorite one in Kopi Lokal!

Lumpia Goreng

Another recommended snack to try in this restaurant. Classic spring roll stuffed with vegetables and white noodle. Too bad, Kopi Lokal didn’t serve the Lumpia Goreng without the chili sauce 😔

Soto Betawi

Classic soto dish with santan broth and meat. It was soooo tasty! It tasted better if you eat it with white rice and the emping (Indonesian crackers)!

Soto Ayam Lamongan

If you prefer chicken than meat, you should go with this dish. In my opinion, it was a little bit too salty if you eat it without rice, tho.

Nasi Tumpeng Kuning

It feels like celebration when you have nasi tumpeng on the table! Kopi Lokal also serve Nasi Tumpeng with scrambled egg, perkedel, tempe orek, and sambal. Another must-try dish in this restaurant!

Nasi Goreng Bebek Denpasar

Crispy fried duck, served with flavored rice, and 3 variants of sambal. The duck was really the hero of the dish! It was tasty and super tender! Next time I visited Kopi Lokal again, I will definitely order this dish again!

Es Kopi Susu Kampung

Of course, since Lokal is a coffee shop, we need to try their coffee as well! Kopi Lokal only serves Indonesian coffee, making it as local as its’ name. Tastewise, I think it’s pretty common like any other coffee.

Overall, it was a great visit to Kopi Lokal! We had amazing time and amazing foods! I’m sure this restaurant will be a great hit! Some dishes need improvement, though. I’m looking forward for my next visit to taste other dishes!
